Weekly Routines

Homework

Monday - Literacy

Wednesday - Numeracy

We recommend that children try to their homework on the night it has been given and they will be rewarded for doing so.  However, we do understand that this is not always possible.

Spellings

These will be given on a Thursday and tested on the following Thursday.  We encourage you to use the 'Look, Cover, Say, Write, Check' method to reinforce methods taught in school.  They will need their spelling books in school every Thursday to write down their new spellings.

Reading

Children need to bring their reading book and reading diary to school every day.  Children should be heard reading at home as often as possible.  When a book is completed, a comment should be recorded by the parent.  The child can then place the book and diary in the tray at school to be changed for a new book.

PE and Games

PE on Tuesday mornings - blue shorts and yellow t-shirts needed

Games on Wednesday afternoons -trainers needed.  In colder weather a tracksuit can be worn as games will be outside.
