Year 3 Information
Expectations
Expectations of childrens behaviour and their standard of work rise throughout Key Stage 2. We have Golden Rules - displayed in the classroom - that need to be followed. Breaking these rules will result in a loss of 5 minutes Golden Time.
Homework
Literacy and numeracy homework given out on a Monday afternoon.
Homework to be returned by Thursday. Any children who have still not handed in homework by Friday will go to homework club during Friday lunchtime.
Spellings / Timestables
Given out on Monday and tested in class on Friday. Children will be sent home with their answer sheet to show parents how well they have done. Parents can support us by helping children re-learn any spellings that they got wrong in their test.
Water Bottles
Children should bring in a spare water bottle in addition to their lunchtime drink. This will be returned each day for re-filling.
Reading
Children need to bring their reading book and yellow reading record to school every day. Children should be heard reading at home as often as possible - we suggest 3 times a week. When a book is completed, a comment should be recorded by the parent. The child can then return the book to class to be changed for a new book.
PE and Games
PE on Wednesdays - blue shorts and yellow t-shirts needed.
Games on Thursdays - trainers needed.
