Safeguarding and Child Protection

St Michael’s CE (VC) Primary School fully recognises it’s responsibilities for safeguarding and child protection. We have in place policies to ensure the best possible care of pupils. These policies apply to all staff, governors and volunteers working in the school. We follow the procedures set out be the Local Children Safeguarding Board and take account of guidance issued by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. A copy of the Safeguarding Policy can be found on our school website or can be obtained from the school office on request. Our Safeguarding Officer (designated member of staff for Child Protection) is Mrs Anne Byrom. This conforms to Local Authority/LCSB Safeguarding practice.
